Yagmir, the god of mischief and trickery, has transported you to a random place in the multiverse and grouped you up with other plucked souls to complete a quest for his amusement. When you are successful, he will return you to your home. Should you fail, you will be forever lost, unable to return to what you love. Or you start again. Or you just stop playing, it’s fine.
